March 10, 2009 - Marti and Sadie Dog spent the day in assemblies and workshops for K-5 students at Eastern Mennonite Elementary School in Harrisonburg, VA.

January 18, 2009 - Marti was signing books at the Almost Home Chili and Chat event. Almost Home Pet Adoption Center is a no-kill facility owned and operated by the Humane Society/SPCA of Nelson County.

April 16, 2009 - Marti visited with 4th grade students at Bethesda Elementary School in Bethesda, MD.

May, 2009 - Marti and Sadie Dog visited with 4th grade students at St Catherine's School in Richmond, VA.

in 2008 - Marti visited with students at Stone Mill Elementary School in North Potomac, MD. and 2nd - 5th grade students at McNeill and Potter Gray E.S in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She participated in the Virginia Book Festival in Charlottesville, VA and the Strut Your Mutt Festival in Bethesda, MD. And, Marti conducted the summer Wintergreen Resort Children's Book Club for 7-11 year olds.
