May 17, 2008 - Marti attended the 'Strut Your Mutt' Festival and Parade in downtown Bethesda, Maryland, which is a benefit for the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad. Sadie Dog also participated.

March 29, 2008 - Marti was signing books at the Virginia Book Festival in Charlottesville, VA. Here is a photo of reader Joe buying the first Dogs of a Different Collar book at the Fair.

June 21, 2008 - Marti and Sadie signed books at an Open House held at the Horse and Dog Lovers Boutique in Charlottesville, VA.

Summer Holiday Weekends, 2008 - Marti conducted the Wintergreen Resort Children's Book Club, where 7-11 year olds talked about their favorite books, discussed the structure and components of stories, and made bookmarks.

September 8-9, 2008 - Marti (and Sadie) conducted school activities for 2nd - 5th grade students at McNeill and Potter Gray E.S in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
